I’m enjoying my first full year of gardening surprises here in North Carolina. I planted two rose shrubs in May, and they’ve grown beautifully with hardly any fuss. One is a long-stem variety, and it has given me perfectly long-stemmed roses.
Now it’s mid-October. I have pumpkins on the porch, and three more long-stem roses are growing in the garden. On this cold, rainy fall day, I had the pleasure of finding this beautiful blossom waiting for me.
